Participants discuss issues and challenges faced by volunteering in the European community, participating countries, entities involving volunteers and volunteers: recognition, validation and regulation of volunteering, providing infrastructural conditions and training opportunities for young people involved in volunteering. The Youth Exchange aims to motivate participants to get involved in volunteering. To achieve this objective the young people are involved for 6 days in different types of volunteering actions: the 2nd day of the exchange they will take part in instant actions (they will have to find situations in which they can offer help to locals) and in the next 5 days will take part in various types of volunteer programs: will develop activities in family type houses with and for orphan children, will organize programs in a center dealing with children with disabilities, will participate in waste collection action around the city, will help decorate and renovate a playground and on the 5th day will go to Miercurea Ciuc where they will have to choose between visiting an animal shelter or activity in a voluntary center inside DJTS Harghita.

These programs aim to help young people to experience different types of volunteering and thus find the field that is closest to their needs and orientation and would get involved with pleasure in the future. At the same time participants search for solutions to motivate other young people to get involved in volunteering. Participants summarize the proposed ideas and their experiences of volunteering in the form of articles that will be published on a blog and in a brochure.
Intercultural knowledge, personal and social development and recognition of this development with the help of the Youthpass Certificate play also an important role in the mobility.
