In the Kindergarten where we're volunteering, there are 6 groups. After some experiences with the middle and big sized groups playing games and teaching English I eventually found my place with the small group; where I help the teachers with the daily activities.
I take part and involve myself in all kind of activities and exercises, trying to develop children's creativeness, playing different sort of games to learn basic concepts about health and anatomy, or with conventional shift's tasks. The teaching methodology is always non-formal and though activities and games that invite to learning by discovering. On the other hand, it's worth to mention that I'm engaged to educational, administrative and self-development topics that are allowing my to acquire new skills that keep me improving my project development.
The main activities that took place between October and December were:
- Making gifts for Kindergarden’s Christmas Market (little angels and deer lollipop)
- Making decorations for Christmas: snowflakes, postcards and so on.
- Advent preparation together with the parents.
- Saint Claus celebration.
- Betlehem games.
