TRADIOTIONAL CRAFTS + MODERN BUSINESSES

The Youth Association from Transylvania organized an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange entitled "TRADIOTIONAL CRAFTS + MODERN BUSINESSES.” The event was implemented in the village of Ruganesti between the 21st and 31st of May, where 36 participants from Romania, Estonia, Italy, Spain, Slovakia and Slovenia observed and tried out traditional crafts, offered business advice for the craftsmen and learned about one another’s crafts, traditional games and cultures. The non formal activities, workshops, games and sessions were held in English.
 Participants arrived on the 21st of May in the afternoon and late at night to Ruganesti village, they occupied their rooms in the Kuria Guesthouse and tried to relax for the first-day sessions.

The EVS adventures of Hunor in Dudley!

About myself!   

My name is Hunor and I am volunteer in the United Kingdom. But what it means to be a volunteer? Obviously you have any idea about it, if you are reading this blog, but let me to show you some pictures, that what it means for me the volunteer life. As you can see a lot of memories, manyfriends, many places, and a lot of experience.

The Youth Association from Transylvania - an NGO from Cristuru Secuiesc, ROMANIA - is looking for one EVS volunteer aged 17 to 30, from Greece. The activity would start in the first week of February 2016, lasting 10 months. You will join 4 EVS volunteers coming from Spain and Hungary.

Between 3 and 11 July we organized a youth exchange in Cristuru Secuiesc with the participation of 35 youngsters from Romania, France, Belgium, Slovenia and Slovakia. The mobility was funded by the European Union. After two introductory days the participants started visiting villages around Cristuru Secuiesc in order to identify their actual touristic endowments, strengths and weaknesses. During the afternoons the youngsters developed personalized touristic strategies for these villages. By developing these plans the participants got aware of many touristic possibilities and perspectives which could ensure them a source of living. These touristic ideas could help these small communities to get more attractive for tourists, to improve their social - economic situation and to reach a sustainable development.

The town twinning event organized by our association and the local government ended and during the four-day event more than 10,000 people visited it. The event was supported and mad possible by the European Union and we would like to thank all the inhabitants of  Székelykeresztúr for their contributed to the success of the event.

Our association will organize the S.A.V.E. the SEASIDE youth mobility between the 23. - 30. August 2015. in Eforie Sud and Vama Veche with the participation of 36 young participants from 6 East- and West European countries, Romania, Bulgaria, France, Spain, Hungary and Greece. The project is funded by the European Union. The location of the project is the “New Paradise” Youth Recreational Center from Eforie Sud.
Our association will organize the youth mobility entitled Rural Tourism - a Sustainable Idea for You, Rural Communities and for the Environment! between 3- 11 of July 2015. in Cristuru Secuiesc, involving 35 unemployed youngsters from the rural area in the theme of rural- and agro tourism. It will involve youngsters from 5 different countries: Romania, Slovenia and Slovakia from East Europe, Belgium and France from West Europe.

Recycling and up-cycling education manager

DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT FOR TRANSYLVANIA, the 18 month, long term EVS project which has the Reference Number RO-21-106-2013-R2 has ended. All the volunteers left home and we are now in the evaluation and dissemination phase. Through this article we present the summary of the activities done by Suzanne and Zsuzsi who did recycling and up-cycling activities.
