Finish of our first EVS

All the volunteers from our first European Voluntary Service project finished their activities and went back home. Ruta from Lithuania found a job and left after 3 months while Dóri, Heni and Zsuzsi from Hungary, Arpine from Armenia, Tamta from Georgia and Suzanne from France all finished theri 8 to 12 months activities with many achievements.

Between the period of 01.08.2013 to 01.02.2015, the Youth Association from Transylvania implemented the 18 month long term EVS project called DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT FOR TRANSYLVANIA (Reference Number RO-21-106-2013-R2). This project hosted 7 EVS volunteers in the small town of Cristuru Secuiesc, Romania. These volunteers were from Armenia, France, Georgia, Lithuania and Hungary and they did their projects in 4 activities:

-  Suzanne from France, who stayed for 12 months, and Zsuzsi from Hungary who stayed for 11 months and a week, did recycling and up-cycling workshops on a weekly basis for youths and children in the local schools, neighboring villages and in the EVS house;

-  Arpine from Armenia who stayed for 10 months and Dori from Hungary who stayed for 12 months did TV support activities which meant that they filmed, edited and published video material about the events in the city, the projects done by the host organization and the EVS activities;

Tamta from Georgia who stayed for 8 months and Heni from Hungary who stayed for 12 months did Radio support activities, which meant that they worked together with the staff Prima Radio in Odorheiu Secuiesc and with Vox FM in Cristuru Secuiesc and made news materials, music shows and talk shows in the radio.

-  Ruta from Lithuania who stayed for 2 months and 3 weeks started supporting the Host NGO with its local activities and international projects, but then stopped her activity as she found a job in th United Kingdom.

The objective of the project was to support the development of the 7 volunteers through the activities they were interested in, and through this to ensure the support and development of the local and regional community of the host organization. During their EVS, the 7 girls  also did their own personal projects, they attended on-arrival and mid-term training, organized cultural nights, travelled throughout Romania and followed and evaluated their own learning development with the Volunteer Logbook. At the end of their projects they received Youthpass Certificates.
